Swedish and Slovenian Minister’s visit to the European Parliament.
Professor Danuta Hübner will have a meeting with Anna Karin Halt, Swedish Minister responsible for regional policy. At the same day, Prof. Hübner will also meet with Andrej Horvat, Slovenian Minister for regional policy.

European Parliament’s conference on innovations, research and craftsmanship.
On Tuesday, Professor Danuta Hübner and Malcolm Harbour, Chairman of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee will together chair the conference on the topic of innovations, research and craftsmanship, organised by European Forum of Craftsmanship. Among the invited guests are Robert-Jan Smits, European Commission Research Executive Director, Members of European Parliament: Judith Merkies, Gunnar Hokmark, as well as representatives from MNCs e.g. Bayer, Umicore, Atlas Copco.

On January 26 and January 27, Professor Danuta Hübner will chair the sitting of the parliamentary Committee on Regional Development. On the first day, members of the Committee will discuss the Report 2010 on the implementation of the Cohesion Policy programmes for 2007-2013 (Rapporteur: Miroslav Mikolasik), A Single Market for Enterprises and Growth report (Rapporteur: Sophie Auconie), as well as 2009 discharge: EU general budget, Section III – Commission (Rapporteur: Jens Geier).
On the second day, from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., Commissioner Johannes Hahn will attend the Committee to exchange views on the latest achievements and developments within cohesion policy. At the same day, voting on Policy challenges and budgetary resources for a sustainable European Union after 2013 Report will take place (Rapporteur: Constanze Angela Krehl). Also The EU strategy on Roma inclusion will be presented by Andrey Kovatchev, and Markus Pieper MEP will discuss The EC 5th Cohesion Report and the Strategy for the post-2013 Cohesion Policy.

On Fifth Report on Cohesion Policy
Professor Danuta Hübner will meet with Michele Delebarre, former President of the Committee of Regions, currently Committee's Rapporteur on the Fifth Report on Economic, Social and Territorial Cohesion.
