On January 26 and January 27, Professor Danuta Hübner chaired the sitting of the parliamentary Committee on Regional Development. On the first day, members of the Committee discussed the Report 2010 on the implementation of the Cohesion Policy programmes for 2007-2013 (Rapporteur: Miroslav Mikolasik), A Single Market for Enterprises and Growth report (Rapporteur: Sophie Auconie), as well as 2009 discharge: EU general budget, Section III – Commission (Rapporteur: Jens Geier).
On the second day, from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., Commissioner Johannes Hahn atended the Committee sitting to exchange views on the latest achievements and developments within cohesion policy. At the same day, voting on Policy challenges and budgetary resources for a sustainable European Union after 2013 Report took place (Rapporteur: Constanze Angela Krehl). Also The EU strategy on Roma inclusion was presented by Andrey Kovatchev, and Markus Pieper MEP discussed The EC 5th Cohesion Report and the Strategy for the post-2013 Cohesion Policy.
