Working Group on "Conditionality", February 11, 2011

Professor Danuta Hübner attended the first meeting of the working group on the conditionality, chaired by Dirk Ahner, Director-General for Regional Policy, European Commission. The work group involves members of the Council of Ministers, European Commission and European Parliament.
The task group will develop the concept of "conditionality", which is a mechanism for improving the efficiency of cohesion policy. The work will be concluded with a report, which is going to be presented at the ministerial meeting 19/20 May 2011, within the Hungarian presidency. Three more meetings of the group are already scheduled.
The Working Group is a forum for constructive dialogue between the European Commission, European Parliament and Council of Ministers.
The group was established by the EU Ministers for Regional Policy at the meeting in Liège, 22/23 November 2010.
