Voting on an opinion on assistance to countries affected by the flooding, February 25, 2011

Professor Danuta Hübner, will chair the meeting of the Committee for Regional Development. The meeting will be also attended by the Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion László Andor.
One of the most important issues raised during the sitting will be voting on a draft opinion by Professor Hübner on the proposal for a report of the Committee on Budget on the EU Solidarity Fund for Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania and Croatia, following the floods in 2010.
Most probably the final vote on the report at the plenary session will be held in April.
Furthermore, Professor Hübner will present opinion "The Union of Innovation: transforming Europe after the world crisis", after which the discussion is scheduled.
Within the framework of the Solidarity Fund, financial support proposed by the European Commission will reach 182 388 893 euro. Poland should get the amount equal to 105 567 155 euro.
