Meeting with delegation from Quebec, March 22, 2011
On March 22, 2011 in Brussels, Professor Danuta Hübner met with the delegation of the National Assembly of Quebec for Relations with European Institutions.
Deputies from the electoral district of Taillon and Chomedey - Mrs. Marie Malavoy and Mr. Guy Ouellette attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to present to the deputies the organization and functioning of the European Parliament. Ms. Malavoy and Mr. Ouellette asked questions about how decisions in the European Parliament are made and about the process of ratification of the EU budget. Professor Hübner presented her guests with the differences which occur between the annual budget and the Multiyear Financial Framework.
After meeting with Professor Hübner guests from Canada participated in the meeting of the Committee on Regional Development.
