Positive evaluation of the Polish presidency by the REGI Committee, December 19, 2011

Members of Regional Development Committee chaired by Professor Danuta Hübner evaluated positively Polish Presidency and thanked Polish Minister of Regional Development Elżbieta Bieńkowska and her team for excellent coordination during 6-month leadership in the EU.
Minister Bieńkowska recalled that at every opportunity she empthahasised that regional policy is a policy of development and investment, which in times of crisis could bring back the EU on the path of development. She found the state of programming and territorial cooperation as a successes. Both the Chairwoman of the Commission and the Polish Minister stressed good preparation made by Danish Presidency and involvement of Danish European Policy and Cohesion Policy Minister, who will continue tasks designated by Poland in 2012. Professor Hübner informed that he will be present at the meeting of REGI Committee in January as a guest.

achievements of EU regional policy in the years 2004-2009.
