Professor Danuta Hübner will take part in the plenary conference of the General Assembly of the Union of Voivodships of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw. She will present the problems regarding the regional self-governments within the cohesion policy during the years 2014-2020.
The main topic of the one-day conference will be the future of the cohesion policy, i.e. its chances, dangers and new scenarios. Donald Tusk (Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland), Janusz Lewandowski (Member of the European Commission responsible for Financial Programming and Budget), Elżbieta Bieńkowska (Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Poland), Michael Schneider (President of the European People’s Party in the Committee of Regions), Michael Dalebarre (President of the Committee of the Cohesion Policy in the Committee of Regions) and representatives of the self-governments of counties will be amidst the participants.
The Union of the Voivodships of the Republic of Poland is composed of representatives of the self-governments of voivodships and represent their interest on national and international forums.
