8th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities - "Open Days", October 04, 2010

Profesor Danuta Hübner together with Commissioner Johannes Hahn and the President of the Committee of the Regions Mercedes Besso will inaugurate 8th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities - Open Days, organized by Committee of the Regions, European Commission and European Parliament.
Common topic for over 130 meetings for another four days of discussions, debates, seminars and working groups will be “Europe 2020: competitiveness, cooperation and cohesion for all regions”.
This year, Brussels-based Open Days celebration will gather around 6000 participants from 245 regions and cities, as well as from NGOs, regional organizations, academia and banks.
Main purpose of these meetings are to facilitate contacts between potential partners, exchange of experience between regions, public and private sector, including financial institutions.
