A commentary on the result of the vote of the Special Commission for the Financial, Economic and Social Crisis (CRIS), and the report pertaining to the financial, economic and social crisis whose rapporteur is Pervenche Berès, a MEP from the French socialist group.
“The special commission, whose member I am, adopted today with a large majority of votes the report concerning the crisis. In it we mention not only the lessons that have been learnt from the crisis, but also the necessity to undertake certain measures that will reduce the risk of another crisis, as well as increasing the immunity of the economy to its consequences. The report indicates the necessity of measures, which will pull the European economy out of the crisis and at the same time, which will build the foundations of a long-term growth, creation of new jobs and higher competitiveness of our economy.”
