The issue of the role of cities in European cohesion policy after 2013 will be the topic of Professor Danuta Hübner’s speech during the international conference organized by the Union of Capitals of the European Union in Warsaw from October 7th until October 8th.
The focus of the meeting is the strategy for funding the development of European capitals after the crisis. Presidents of cities of member states, as well as representatives of government administrations will participate in the conference. Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the president of Warsaw, will be the host of the conference.
The Union of Capitals of the European Union was established in 1961 in order to direct dialogue between capitals of member states and EU institutions. Currently it has 37 members.
