Trainings for women in the framework of the ‘candidate’ programme were held in Professor Danuta Hübner’s office on the 13th and 14th October.
22 women from all over Poland who will be running in the local elections participated in the meeting. The two-day long training covered the preparation, running and critical analysis of election campaigns. The participants learned about strategies in election campaigns, goals of campaigns, methods of verbal and non-verbal communication, methods of leading election discussions, and creating an election calendar. The training was also a framework for practical workshops in areas such as contact with the voter, creation and distribution of leaflets, and running a door-to-door campaign.
During the two days there was also time for discussions about, and analysis of, ideas for the campaign. The most frequently asked questions regarded the tools of running a campaign, ways of contact with the voter, and an appropriate way of presenting the election programme.
The next training session will be mentioned on this site.
