Innovation, small and medium enterprises in the context of cohesion policy, September 27, 2010

Professor Danuta Hübner chaired a seminar on the topic of “Innovation, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Cohesion Policy”. Representatives of the European Commission, associations and regions including Germany, Romania and the Netherlands took part in the seminar. The discussion dealt with cohesion policy as a support for innovation. Synergy between innovation and research, as well as the future of cohesion policy after 2013 were also examined. Participants exchanged remarks regarding experiences related to taking advantage of structural funds by small and medium enterprises, as well as by local and regional authorities.
