6 June 2008 Slovenia, Nova Gorica
The European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Danuta Hübner, paid a visit to Nova Gorica in Slovenia. Commissioner Hübner gave a keynote speech at the European Regional Economic Forum on "PPP and private funding of RTD, innovation and education activities at the regional level" organised by the Slovenian Presidency, on "Linking Cohesion Policy with Building European Regional Knowledge Economies. The Forum was organised by the Municipality of Nova Gorica, the Slovenian Government Office for Local Self-government and Regional Policy, together with the Slovenian and Business Research Association in Brussels, under the patronage of the Committee of the Regions and sponsored by HIT Nova Gorica.

Danuta Hübner spotka się w Bled z Ivanem Žagarem, Ministrem ds. Samorządów Lokalnych i Polityki Regionalnej oraz z Janezem Podobnikiem, Ministrem Środowiska i Gospodarki Przestrzennej.
